Every day brings the opportunity to do something creative…photography is one of my favorite creative endeavors.  In photography, its all about observing; the light, the composition and capturing that fleeting moment in time to communicate your interpretation of the subject of the image.  The silence of working within yourself is magical. Capturing the moment when the water ripples and the leaves catch the glow of sunlight instantly describes and translates the image before me. Taken at Linwood Gardens, an amazing place, especially in the spring.

The Walnut Hill Carriage Show. August 15, 2010

This is a really unique event…people come from all around the country bringing horses and carriages to “perform” in a variety of events.  It’s like taking a trip back in time; people dress in period costumes and show off their antique carriages, training and driving skills.  It rained today, but they are definitely ready for it, having stylin’ raincoats and gear

Canandaigua Lake Paintout

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day.  It doesn’t get any better than this!  Perfect temperature, slight breeze on the lake, crisp bright sunlight.  This was a ‘paintout’ that I attended with the GVPAP group; Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters.
